Now accepting students in the Classes of 2026 only!
After more than 25 years of working in the field of college admission, I am just as passionate about helping students apply to college as I was on my first day. I understand the nuances of this process and how each student’s story should be told through their application to successfully navigate the maze of the college search.
My goal in working with families is to collaborate with honest, transparent communication, setting realistic expectations while engaging in a positive, engaging journey.
My work is grounded in the belief that there is no “one perfect college” for anyone, but rather a kind of college experience that will foster the growth, academic challenge and preparation for life that we all want for our kids.
After graduating Phi Beta Kappa from Wheaton College (MA) with a degree in Psychology, I began my work in college admission at Roger Williams University (RI). After two years there I returned to my alma mater where I worked with first year and transfer applicants before becoming the Director of College Counseling at Lawrence Academy in Groton, MA. Family responsibilities brought me back down to Norton where I rejoined the team at Wheaton and earned my Master’s in Developmental & Educational Psychology at Boston College. In 2012 I was named Senior Associate Dean of Admission at Providence College (RI) where I eventually obtained my MBA. Now, as the Director of School & College Counseling at Ursuline Academy (MA), I am able to get to know my students starting in their freshman year.
One of the most rewarding aspects of my work has been engagement with colleagues from colleges, universities, and high schools around the world via our professional organizations. After serving on various committees and the Governing Board of NEACAC, the New England Association for College Admission Counseling, I was elected president of the association in 2010. In May of 2022, I was humbled to receive the Harry R. Carroll Award, NEACAC’s highest honor that recognizes college admission counseling professionals whose contributions and achievements merit special recognition, and whose work reflects the spirit and principles of a lifetime achievement award. Throughout the years, I’ve also had the pleasure of serving on the National Association’s Board of Directors and the Steering Committee of Admission Practices, as well as a number of other committees.
The relationships I’ve build with hundreds of like-minded colleagues fuels my passion for helping students to know and understand all of the wonderful possibilities that await them at schools whose names they may have never before heard.
